For 20 plus years my husband and I spent almost every vacation in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina and then in 2001 we had the opportunity to purchase land with the intent of  “one day” building a log home on that land. The “one day” came a year later, we just could not wait and for the next four years, every moment we could get away, we would spend at “the cabin”. In 2005, we made a decision to semi-retire from our careers and move to “the cabin”. Shortly after we arrived, my husband decided to go to Real Estate school and then purchased Mountain Valley Properties. Inc.       

I had always thought I would enjoy being in real estate, especially here in the mountains, so I embarked on a new career and now I am a licensed real estate agent. I love my job! I get real excited about the homes and beautiful land and it is a pleasure and an honor for me to be able to do this.

There is a saying I like and it says “if you want to get the job done, give it to a busy person”. I stand by that because I like being busy. Not only am I a real estate agent, but I have the pleasure of managing our Vacation Rental Properties, which is an awesome job because you get to watch folks enjoy themselves and the mountains.

My work ethic is that you simply treat people the way you want to be treated and be there to help them in any way you can. I enjoy seeing people realize their dreams. I will always remember the day we moved in “the cabin” – it was one of the most exciting days of my life and I want the opportunity to share your day with you. My grandfather was from North Carolina and while I was born and reared in Georgia, NC has always been special to me and now I call it home.
